DBHelm Pro for teams
One plan for the whole DBA team
Pro is priced per seat. Your Super Admin invites people by email and picks their role. Databases and credentials stay on each person's laptop; the team shares only who is on it, their role, the plan and connection settings.

- Roles: Super Admin manages the team, Admin works on databases, Read Only runs read-only queries
- Invite by email; members join from "Join my team" with a one-time code, no passwords to share
- Team audit log: every member's queries and changes (reads included) sent to Slack, Teams or your SIEM, HMAC-signed
- Shared connection templates: host, port, TLS and bastion settings, never passwords or keys

Common questions
What's free vs. Pro vs. Platform?
Free: connect, query, monitor, and Studio on existing databases — Direct Connections and registered Kubernetes environments. No environment cap, no database cap. Pro: Advisor + the full Optimize suite, AI Diagnose (Incident RCA, Virtual DBA, Transaction Tracer, on-demand Health Check), alerts (email / Slack / webhook), BYO-AI, and Prometheus/GMP history. Platform: everything in Pro plus the operate layer — provisioning, backups & PITR, maintenance + Live Migration, GitOps / schedulers / schema changes, security posture, federation, engine migration, and governance (audit / compliance / DR / playbooks / capacity).
How do I get Pro or Platform?
Self-serve checkout and public list prices are paused for now. Email hello@dbhelm.com for Pro or Platform access — we will send a license key or trial.
How does Pro for teams work?
Email hello@dbhelm.com with the number of seats and your Super Admin's email. We set up the team, and the Super Admin invites each person from the Team page in DBHelm with a role (Super Admin, Admin or Read Only). Members sign in with their work email and a one-time code; each seat works on up to two of that person's laptops, and moving to a new one is a click on the sign-in screen. To add seats, or to hand the account to another Super Admin, email us.
I already have a paid license. Do I lose anything?
No. Existing paid keys were issued as the full product (tier=pro with no SKU). Those map to Platform automatically — Advisor, Optimize, Diagnose, alerts, and the operate layer all stay unlocked. New Pro keys are issued with an explicit Pro SKU.
Is monitoring really free for clusters in my Kubernetes environments?
Yes. Registering a Kubernetes environment is free — it's the on-ramp to monitoring databases you already run. Query, monitoring, and Studio are free for both registered environments and direct connections. Advisor and Optimize are Pro. Provisioning new clusters into them is Platform.
How is the license enforced?
With an offline, Ed25519-signed license key you paste into Settings → License. It's verified entirely on your machine against an embedded public key — no phone-home, works air-gapped. Default zero telemetry.
Is there a trial?
Yes — email hello@dbhelm.com for a time-limited Pro or Platform trial key and activate it in Settings → License. When it expires the app gracefully falls back to the free tier; your data and connections are untouched.
Is DBHelm still source-available?
Yes, under BSL 1.1 (auto-converts to Apache 2.0 four years after each release). Pro and Platform features require a license key. The BSL hosting clause still applies: you can't re-sell DBHelm itself as a managed service.
Do you offer educational / non-profit pricing?
Email hello@dbhelm.com from a school or registered non-profit address — we're happy to sort out Pro or Platform access for academic and non-profit use.
